About Author
Daphne Bell is turning her personal tragedy into a crusade to make people aware of the importance of knowing their family health history and taking all the steps necessary to combat heart disease, the silent killer.
Daphne is the founder and president of Keeping TABs on Your Heart, a non-profit organization she developed after the sudden death of her husband, former NFL player Todd Anthony Bell.
To help further her message, she also serves as spokesperson for the American Heart Association and the Ohio State University Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
The Pain Didn’t Kill Me is not only about the importance of knowing one’s family health history, but it is also about unlocking one’s family secrets—however painful. Essentially, our family history shapes our emotional, spiritual, and physical lives … whether we know our history or not.
